Before Orgy, Jay was in a band named Lit. Not to be confused with the current signed band out there right now. He played bass for four years before he decided to hang up the bass guitar and pick up a microphone. He also used to jam along with fellow musician Elijah Blue, singer for Deadsy. Jay is also a music producer. He co-produced Coal Chambers self-titled debut album along with Orgy's synth guitarist Amir Derakh, he sang back up vocals on their tracks "Oddity" and "Maricon Pluto." Jay is also a model for Calvin Klein clothing.

Steph's Commentary on Jay- Jay is NOT a bitch. Goddamnit. Jay's a really cool guy, and even though it's known he tends to have "mood swings" he has always been generally nice to me. And after getting the chance to hang out with him in a fan less situation, I realized just how smooth he really is. I don't really know what else to say. Everyone has different opinions of the guy and I guess this is just mine, but until he does something to change that. That's what I think of him. And he can't speak French *nods*
